Nestled between the more popular Tsavo West National Park and Amboseli National Park, Chyulu offers verdant green landscapes with one of the best views of the famed Mount Kilimanjaro. The park offers a variety of game species, including elephants, leopards, giraffes, and buffalo, to name a few. While the animals that call this place home are notable, the most prominent characteristic is its volcanic activity, both old and new. Here, you can explore the various volcano cones and craters, as well as one of the longest lave tubes in the world, found in the Kisula Cave Complex.
In addition to its game, this area boasts a plethora of bird species, best experienced on the southwest corner of the park on Lake Jipe.
While this national park is often overlooked by its more popular counterparts, it is definitely not to be missed when travelling to Kenya.
