Our Team

Born in Mpumalanga, the Place of the Rising Sun, Gugu's passion for travel began at a young age. Her ancestral roots are deeply connected to the Kruger region, where her great great-grandparents once lived before the area was proclaimed the iconic Kruger National Park. This unique family connection has given her a lifelong appreciation for Africa's wildlife, landscapes, and rich cultural heritage.

As a child, Gugu's first visit to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport sparked a dream that would shape her future. Watching aircraft arrive and depart ignited a fascination with aviation and the endless possibilities of travel. Determined to turn that dream into reality, she obtained her Cabin Crew Licence shortly after completing matric and began a career that allowed her to explore the world. Her journey eventually led her to Cape Town, a city she proudly calls home today. Over the years, she has travelled extensively throughout South Africa, visiting all nine provinces, while also exploring neighbouring countries such as Mozambique and Eswatini. Every destination has deepened her appreciation for the diverse cultures, people, and experiences that make Africa so extraordinary.

Today, Gugu is proud to be part of the Safari365 family, a place she considers home. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge and love of travel, helping guests discover the magic of Africa and create unforgettable memories of their own.

Favourite Destination:
Tanzania is Gugu's dream destination. The opportunity to witness its world-renowned wildlife and experience the spectacular Great Migration, followed by time on the pristine beaches of Zanzibar, represents her ideal African adventure.

Most Treasured Travel Experience
