From Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH) you will fly over the Khomas Hochland and the Naukluft Mountains down the 1000m escarpment to Sossusvlei in the Namib Desert. Twfyelfontein has famous historical rock engravings of the San Bushmen. There are at least 2,500 engravings, which are between 1,000 and 10,000 years old. The engravings were made with metal tools.
