Such a wonderful and luxurious vacation to Victoria Falls

4/5
Hi Safari365, We’ve reached Karachi and are back at work from today! We had such a wonderful (and rather luxurious!) vacation and we wanted to thank you one more time for all your help with coordinating! You did a great job and all the accommodation and the itinerary in general was just amazing. We have come back tanned and about 10 pounds heavier!! You must tell us if you know people as good as you for planning vacations to other continents! We’re going to probably go to East Asia or South America next time and we need another Safari365 to help make those trips almost as great as this one! Some more granular feedback – though it all basically says “two thumbs up”: Actvities Victoria Falls – we went crazy with the activities here — in addition to the ones you booked for us, we also fit in the adrenalin rush and the rafting! 1. Tour of the Falls – it was good but i don’t know how much they charged for it – we could’ve probably done it on our own as well 2. Lion Walk – amazing. We loved it! 3. Adrenalin rush – we did the flying fox, zip-line and gorge swing combo. it was amazing! 4. helicopter ride – it was ok. not that special. comparing costs of other activities, it wasn’t really worth it. 5. horseback safari – it was fun! i think the brochure said it was a three hour activity but it was actually only two hours — so that might be something to look into 6. boma dinner – bad food and not really worth the money. it has been pitched as a real cultural experience but it was too commercialized, and food just wasn’t that good. 7. rafting – we wound up fitting this in as well. this was excellent value for money and we had an excellent time. 8. sunset cruise – perfect way to relax — especially right after the rafting :) 9. elephant safari – it was good but it wasn’t a safari. it was more like an elephant walk around a small path. probably shouldn’t be pitched a safari as because of that it didn’t feel like very good value for money. but otherwise, of course they are beautiful creatures and feeding them was fun! South Africa 1. Cape Town – loved the botanical gardens, aquarium, cape point, boulders beach with the penguins, sea point. the helicopter ride was kid of underwhelming. i think we won’t be doing one of those again in life. 2. Cheetah outreach was good. Not as amazing as the lion walk of course and the cheetah was just sitting there but still very special 3. Franschoek: Tasting Room – as I already told you was very memorable and great value for money; we also did a tour of a Pierre Jordan cellar/ wine tasting which we quite enjoyed :) 4. Hermanus – whale watching here was canceled. We did book whale watching in Plett instead which was good — though we couldn’t find anything for the first hour and we didn’t get to see the animals very up close. But of course that isn’t really in anyone’s control. So it was just ok. 5. Plettenberg – we did a hike around Robberg Peninsula which was just amazing and definitely one of the most beautiful sights in the entire trip; Tsitsikamma canopy tour was also good! We absolutely LOVED Monkeyland. Didn’t get time to do Birds of Eden because we decided to go to Jukani instead but Jukani was not good at all. More like a zoo with larger cages. Also didn’t really like our tour guide. Didn’t seem too knowledgeable. 6. Shamwari – we loved the safari and it was just the perfect number of days. i’m so glad we didn’t do a longer east African safari as i had originally been planning. we saw all the main animals excel the leopard – got especially very up close to lions and elephants, cape buffalo. and of course there were giraffes and all the antelope family of animals, black rhino, white rhino etc etc. Our ranger Jacques was a lot of fun as well! OK I think that about covers it! Let me know if you need anything else (as I realize I may have described too many things as ‘amazing’). Everyone we know is so excited about our trip because from our pictures on Facebook you can see it was so action packed and fun. We are actively telling everyone to go take the same holiday and if we know anyone who is interested, we will definitely refer them to you! Take care, and thanks for putting together what will definitely be one of our most memorable vacations ever :) Sameen

Planning was impeccable, everything went like clockwork
I am skeptical about ‘people on the Net’ …… you send your $ 10,000 and that is the last you see …
